The pattern erected at the park is commonly known as "Turkey Tracks," and was painted by local artist, Judy Greene of Bean Station. For more information go to our Links page.
Mr. Ramsey sold approximately 164 acres of land to the state in order to help create the park. He also donated the land where the park ranger's house is now located. The Welcome Center was dedicated to Mr. Ramsey 1999.
